THE SAND OF THE BEACH IS NOW FOR THE NEW SEASON / 09-06-2017
ACCORDING TO RSF INFORMATION, June 9
The operation to transfer the cargo of 2,000 cubic meters of sand from the beach of Sa Riera to Sant Feliu de Guíxols was completed before the weekend according to the newspaper El Punt Avui. And, throughout Monday, the company Mirfer finished distributing the arid by the area of guixolense bath, besides to remove the sand more degraded in the points closer to the accesses from the walk.
The Councilor for Beaches and Tourism, Salvador Calabuig, stressed that the operation has been completed without racking and will ensure that the beach is in good condition during the summer season. Looking to the future, he believes there is enough sand for a good season, but do not rule out that with the works planned in the field of Can Rius - where they will remove the quality sand so as not to damage it, maybe some reinforcement is needed for the 2018 season .
